Syringa Networks announces Eastern Idaho Market Initiative, appoints Regional Account Executive

Thursday, August 13, 2009

BOISE, ID, July 13th, 2009 — Syringa Networks, provider of high-speed fiber optic telecommunications services, today announced a market-focused initiative for Eastern Idaho and the appointment of a new Regional Account Executive.

Since 2000, growth throughout Eastern Idaho, both in terms of population and job opportunities has continued and, according to the Idaho Department of Labor, is expected to outpace other similar regions—with an increase in new jobs of 20% over the next 10 years.

In response to growing demand, Syringa Networks announced plans for a new Central Office facility in Idaho Falls. In addition to being a mirror site to the companies Boise, Idaho corporate headquarters and data facility, this new site is designed to provide localized service and support for data-hungry Eastern Idaho cities, such as Pocatello and Idaho Falls.

Syringa Networks Eastern Idaho market initiative will result in more services within the region including Metro-Ethernet and MPLS service. Other benefits of this initiative include a local service and support center, a Co-Location data center, on-site Network Operations and support personnel, and a dedicated Regional Account Executive.

The newly appointed Regional Account Executive, Dan Skene, has over 20 years experience in the telecommunication industry and brings extensive knowledge and experience in networking services and hardware.  Prior to joining Syringa Networks, Skene worked for Qwest as the Key and Major Account Executive serving clients throughout Eastern Idaho.  Skene previously held positions with Avaya, Lucent and Expanets.

Syringa Networks CEO, Greg Lowe said, “Dan brings first hand regional expertise to our team and will enable us to tailor our offerings to the needs of the businesses in the region. We are excited to have him on-board.”
Lowe continued, “We welcome the opportunity to participate in the continued success of the businesses and their communities and view this new initiative as a much-needed response to the ever-growing demand in Eastern Idaho. The addition of our new Central Office Facility gives us a great platform from which we can provide enhanced services to our customers.”
