The role of shared applications and cloud-based services has continued to make organizations more reliant on their telecommunications infrastructure. Applications like online banking, inventory control, point-of-sale systems, voice and video services, as well as multi-site intranets have become commonplace and create ever-increasing demand for reliable connectivity and Internet bandwidth.

By combining our fully-redundant self-healing network infrastructure with the advanced capabilities of our MPLS core, we are able to provide the level of service and the flexibility to meet even the most challenging customer requirements.

MPLS vs. Traditional connectivity

Multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) networks provide a number of improvements to existing switched network infrastructures. With an MPLS network customers can interconnect multiple sites even if each site is using different network interfaces which in turn reduces the cost of adding new sites and allows for migration instead of costly fork-lift upgrades. MPLS also means that a single IP-based network infrastructure can support multiple applications. Prioritizing applications such as VoIP, video-conferencing, web access, file transfers, and more mean that your available bandwidth is maximized ensuring the right performance when you need it most.

Prioritizing applications is achieved by defining a class of service for each application and then assigning them to a priority queue. The end result is a defined quality of service (QoS) for each application customized for each customer.

MPLS is a flexible solution geared toward meeting your changing network requirements and is designed to scale with your needs. Our MPLS offering is divided into three levels of service, each customizable to meet your specific needs and designed to provide a seamless upgrade path.

Each level of service builds on the existing feature set, maximizing your investment without limiting future capabilities.

Business port: A traditional Layer-2 WAN service built on our MPLS core network that can be delivered via Frame, ATM, or Ethernet.

Advanced port: Provides a next-generation Layer-2 or Layer-3 IP VPN WAN.

Multi-service port: A next-generation MPLS service combined with other services on a single network.
