In 1984 an association was formed to provide a unified voice for Idaho’s rural telephone companies in presenting telecommunication industry issues before regulatory, administrative and legislative agencies in Idaho. The association today is the ITA and consists of 14 member companies.
In 2002, 12 members of the ITA created Syringa Networks to provide fiber optic connectivity between Idaho’s rural communities.
