Department of Justice Approves Sale of Boise Metro Network Assets to Syringa Networks

The U.S. Department of Justice has approved Syringa Networks’ acquisition of CenturyLink’s former Level 3 metro network assets in the Boise area, pending final approvals.

Syringa Networks, a Boise-based fiber-optic network provider, announced today that the U.S. Department of Justice has approved the company’s acquisition of certain CenturyLink (formerly Level 3) metro network assets in the Boise, Idaho area. This approval marks a key milestone in the regulatory process and moves the transaction closer to completion.

The acquisition includes targeted metro network infrastructure that will enhance Syringa Networks’ ability to support businesses, government agencies, and communities with expanded fiber connectivity in the Treasure Valley. By integrating these assets, Syringa Networks will strengthen its regional footprint and continue its commitment to delivering secure, reliable, high-capacity network services.

The transaction remains subject to additional governmental approvals, including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as well as other customary closing conditions. Once finalized, the acquisition will further position Syringa Networks as a leading provider of advanced fiber-based connectivity throughout Idaho.
